Wind Generator
On the roof of the Q-club we have our own little wind power station. There were others before this one but they were destroyed by strong gusts of wind. We are constantly trying to better its construction so that it doesn`t get blown away any more. The rechargeable acccumulators feed the entire QRP ham shack: the receiver, transmitter and lighting.
On December 26th, 1999 a strong wind destroyed this wind generator.

Mr. Ondrej Stas, an engineer and our
specialist, tests his new wind power generator.
He used an original motor from a magnetic tape unit of an old hall-computer as the dynamo
for the generator.
